You have no doubt heard of the suspicious death reported at the Pacifica Knowledge Savoir Pacifique Canada Research Station This research station is located in the territory of the Ka:’yu:’k’t’h’/Che:k’tles7et’h’ First Nation, in the  Checleset Bay Ecological Reserve. The land was leased to the University of the Pacific Rim (UPR) to conduct research. The director, Dr. Doris Morkus was found dead in her locked office adjacent to her lab.
